Risk Management Team Mission

The Risk Management Team’s (RMT) mission is to serve as a strategic partner with HUB NW clients to prevent and mitigate organizational losses through personalized, hands-on, and holistic risk management support. Our team of specialists will collaborate with customers to effectively and proactively identify and control exposures through systematic and long-term evaluation, education, and advocacy services.

Primary Workers’ Compensation Agents & Client Liaisons

Mike Godfrey and Spencer Haugen jointly serve as the principal contacts on our team for clients’ workers’ compensation needs. With complementary strengths in insurance expertise, risk management, and client service, they ensure seamless support from initial inquiry through claim resolution.

In their roles, Mike and Spencer partner closely with clients to assess exposures, design tailored coverage strategies, and advocate strongly during the claims process. Their practice is grounded in deep industry knowledge, responsive communication, and a client-first mentality. Making them trusted advisors in times of uncertainty.

Emily Lubman, MPH, CSP
Director of Risk Management

Emily Lubman is the Director of Risk Management at HUB International. She has a Master of Public Health, with an emphasis in Occupational Safety and Health, and has earned her Certified Safety Professional Designation. She brings extensive safety management experience to HUB Clients across a wide variety of industries including: wood products, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, higher education, food processing, transportation, and professional services. In her current role, she partners with clients to minimize employee and public safety losses, achieve regulatory compliance, and build a robust safety culture.

Alexander D’Arcy
Workers Compensation Claims Analyst

Xander is the workers compensation analyst/consultant at HUB International. He has 14+ years as a Certified Claims Adjuster, as well as an agent and account manager. His claims management background will assist HUB clients across a wide variety of industries, including: wood products, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, higher education, food processing, public entities, nonprofits, and transportation.

In his current role, he partners with clients to assist them in understanding the claims process as well as helping them manage claims for the best optimal outcome. He will assist in minimizing employee and public safety losses, while providing invaluable education and service to the management of claims.

Client Services Advisor – Commercial Lines

With a legal background and experience as a licensed attorney, Don brings extensive expertise in the insurance industry to his role. He combines his understanding of insurance coverage with practical claims-handling knowledge to advocate for clients and guide them through complex claims processes. His dual background in law and insurance provides clients with unique insight and strategic support when navigating disputes, mitigating risks, and achieving favorable outcomes.

In his current role, Don partners with clients to streamline claims resolution, manage insurance carrier relationships, and minimize financial exposure. His hands-on approach emphasizes proactive claims strategies and clear communication, ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the process.

Devin Sanders works as a HUB International Sr. Risk Management Consultant. He brings extensive safety management and environmental compliance experience to HUB Clients across a wide variety of industries including wood products, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, wastewater treatment, industrial stormwater, air emissions, ISO and forest sustainability certifications, food processing, transportation, and professional services. In his current role, he partners with clients to minimize employee and public environmental, health and safety losses, achieve regulatory compliance, and build a robust environmental, health, safety culture.
